[8.2 - 12] 9th Anniversary Exhibition "Custom Made, Deep Drilling" held [Kyoto: Sutachibana]

We will be holding our anniversary exhibition in Kyoto. It will be a different approach to craftsmanship than usual. Please come and visit us!

I've loved crafting since I was little. I especially like making cases for my favorite things, and that may be the origin of my craftsmanship. Even now, I make bags, which are things to put things in.

For our anniversary project, we are planning an exhibition that takes a different approach to our usual manufacturing. The theme this time is "Customizing things/adding texture."

"Custom-made for items" means creating products that are exclusive to existing products. There is a word for kimono, "O-Oe." It is the same as custom-made for Western clothes. This time, I made a custom-made tissue, which I had always thought was "a unique specification." I also make cases that fit Baumkuchen perfectly.

The other is "adding texture." We thought that sticking a piece of leather on a plastic product with a completed design might change the way the item looks and how people feel attached to it, so we covered some familiar, well-loved ready-made products with leather. This is what we call customization.
