This shopper bag was created through a collaboration between traditional Kyoto craftsmen and young bag designers active in Kyoto.
Our uniquely developed "silver leaf" is made using the traditional "hand-kneaded foil" technique used in Kyoto Nishijin, which creates a three-dimensional shadow effect by spraying ink onto the surface, creating the illusion of uneven metal. Since it is all handmade, the finished hand-kneaded silver leaf is a one-of-a-kind material.◎Work Description
The "shopper bag" was inspired by paper bags and has been sublimated into a bag that is also strong. It is based on a paper bag, but it is not too casual and has a sense of elegance. In particular, the metal fittings on the top four corners are accents that make it look like a bag rather than a paper bag. It also has studs on the bottom, so you can place it on the ground without hesitation. The handles are thin, but they are more durable than they look, and you can carry things like a computer. It has an inner pocket so you can use it according to your needs.
The shopper mini can store not only a smartphone and wallet, but also a 500ml plastic bottle at the same time. It can also store small items such as a small pouch for handkerchiefs and lip balm. It has a gusset of about 9 cm, so it has more storage capacity than it looks.
