10th Anniversary Project Part 3: Nisai Collaboration Bag Release & Pop-Up
This marks their first collaboration in about eight years. Each bag is unique, featuring Nisai's iconic embroidered and painted fabric, wrapped in vinyl for increased water resistance and practicality. The leather tag sewn into the inner pocket features Nisai's hand-painted logo embossed on top.
I've been working with nisai since the brand's early days, and we're like comrades in arms, constantly competing with each other. Nisai's designer Matsuda and I happen to share the same birthday, April 26th. Since we share the same birthday, I asked him if we wanted to do a collaboration and pop-up event on that date, and that's how this project started.

I wondered what that was
First, I went to Hashiguchi's exhibition and saw his ongoing work, and I wanted Nisai to be wrapped up in it.
I thought a PVC-coated bag would be nice, but the fabric was wrapped in clear plastic.
